The "Late Show with David Letterman's" week-long celebration of the Beatles is now under way thanks to Broken Bells.
The indie rock duo made up of the Shins' James Mercer and producer Danger Mouse got things started with a cover of "And I Love Her" on Monday's episode of the CBS talk show.
Broken Bells -- whose new album After the Disco is in stores now -- performed alongside an old-fashioned television that featured footage of drummer Ringo Star that had been adjusted to match the new version of the Beatles' 1964 hit.
This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show," and Letterman will continue the celebration Tuesday with a performance from Sting.
Lenny Kravitz will be there on Wednesday, Sean Lennon will join the Flaming Lips on Thursday, and a yet-to-be-announced guest will close things out on Friday.
