The Flaming Lips teamed up with the son of a Beatle Thursday night to keep Beatles Week rolling along on the "Late Show with David Letterman." The indie vets took the stage with Sean Lennon for a rendition of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."
Sean and the Lips filled the Ed Sullivan Theater with neon lights and glittery confetti for their performance, which comes 50 years after the Beatles made their debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in the same historic theater.
Letterman has been celebrating the anniversary all week with Beatles covers from Broken Bells, Sting, and Lenny Kravitz. Lauryn Hill is set to finish the week on Friday ahead of Sunday's big Beatles tribute, "The Night That Changed America."
The two-hour special is scheduled to air at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS.
