One of the shows that topped my list on my recent visit out to Winter NAMM in Anaheim, CA was the Wednesday night Metal Allegiance Show! The Anaheim House of Blues was packed to the gills with die-hard metal heads who were there to see old-school metal heroes deliver a show that just doesn't happen that often. My highlights include Troy Sanders (Mastodon) with three of the Anthrax dudes (Ian, Bello and Benante) covering Stormtroopers of Death and Sepultura's Andreas Kisser with Chuck Billy (Testament) and same Anthrax dudes for a couple of Sep tunes! And of course, any time I get to see guitar hero Alex Skolnick play, it's been an awesome night! I'll be back next year!

It all leads back to Memphis! Here I am with a bad ass who got his start right here in Mtown at 92.9 back around '97/'98..Jose Mangin! He also served as the Metal Allegiance host and can be heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Liquid Metal. Great dude who still credits Memphis for giving him his start!
