Pumpkin spice has become synonymous with the start of fall, and with the season just around the corner, businesses are preparing for the crowds of people who want to get their fill of the comforting flavor.

To determine which states crave the fall favorite flavor more than others, Instacart measured the relative share of pumpkin spice items purchased compared to the national average.

So where does Tennessee rank in terms of pumpkin spice love?

Tennesseans purchase the seasonal items about 26% more than the national average. As autumn draws closer and the leaves begin to change color, it will soon be time to grab your PSL and head to the Smoky Mountains to check out the beautiful fall foliage.

Here are the states that buy the most pumpkin spice products:

  • West Virginia (122%)
  • Iowa (90%)
  • North Carolina (62%)
  • Ohio (60%)
  • Wisconsin (58%)

Here are the states, and one city, that buy the least pumpkin spice products:

  • Hawaii (-65%)
  • Washington, D.C. (-49%)
  • Louisiana (-42%)
  • Massachusettes (-37%)
  • Minnesota (-36%)
